Augusta to host national cycling event
The Augusta Sports Council announced today that USA Cycling, the national governing body for bicycle racing in the United States, has selected Augusta, Georgia to host the 2011 and 2012 USA Cycling Elite/U23/Juniors Road National Championships and Paralympic Road National Championships. The 2011 event is scheduled for June 21-26, 2011. The 2012 races will take place the week of June 18 – 24.
